Romans 5:12 — The Origin of Sin
The word of Romans 5:12 contains a very simple yet deep meaning. “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12).Sin entered this world through one person. It is precisely because Adam and Eve were created by God but disobeyed God’s command that sin came to enter this world. That sin is passed down to the child through the parents, and passed down to that child again, and connected like this, it came to be passed down even to you and me today. Therefore, through one person sin entered the world, and we all became sinners.
