We Who Have Nothing to Boast About Before God
Through the word of Romans 4 given to us today, I would like to speak about how a person is justified before God.The Apostle Paul took Abraham as an example to testify that the way a person is justified is not by works but by faith. To the Jews, Abraham was not a simple ancestor. He was the ancestor of faith, and a figure representing circumcision and the covenant. Therefore, revealing where that righteousness of Abraham came from becomes a matter of destroying all claims of trying to be saved by works from their very roots.
