Romans chapter 3 is the text where the Apostle Paul concludes the diagnosis of humanity’s sin unfolded in chapters 1 and 2, and proclaims the righteousness newly revealed by God after that dark diagnosis.
The Apostle Paul begins with the advantage of the Jew, and clearly reveals that man’s unbelief cannot nullify the faithfulness of God. Also, after explaining the function of the law that stops every mouth and brings the knowledge of sin, he finally shows how the righteousness of God manifested apart from the law was accomplished through the ministry of Jesus Christ becoming the propitiation. Viewed from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, within this one chapter, the salvation ministry accomplished by the baptism Jesus received from John the Baptist at the Jordan River, the blood of the cross, and His resurrection is clearly manifested.
That is, how Jesus bore the sins of all humanity and how He justifies the person who believes that gospel is vividly unfolded within Romans chapter 3.
